An Antique English Transitional Percussion Revolver ca 1850
This type bridged the gap between the pepperbox and the true revolver in the mid-19th century.
It is of superior quality by Hollis & Sheath, London. The octagonal barrel and 6-shot cylinder both with Birmingham Proof, the Nickel Silver frame engraved with panels of scrolling foliage and retailer’s name; the self-cocking action has a bar hammer and ring trigger, chequered walnut grips.
