Very Scarce British .455 Prideaux Quick Loader.
Developed just before WW1 by William de Courcy Prideaux an improvement of his Patent of 1914; used for speed loading the Military.455 Revolvers. Constructed from spring steel forming a plate with six fingers to grip the cartridges, which by exerting downward pressure into the cylinder is forced back into the body of the loader, thus releasing the cartridges into the chambers.
The handle Ordnance marked P-L2 or P-Ld with Crown 55B, dated 1919 with broad Arrow.
