From A Medieval English Castle.
Ultra Rare Original 300-year Old
Leather and Wood Pre-Made Cartridge Carrying Pouches for British Brown Bess Flintlock Muskets.
From the Armoury at Shirburn Castle, the Ancestral home of the Earls of Macclesfield.
Each leather pouch is constructed around a wooden core bored with 10 compartments for the charges. The leather flap tooled with M and numbered to the original muskets.
Obviously being over 300 years old, the condition is only fair with leather damage and old worm holes. However, this is a unique opportunity to purchase an original piece of military equipment which is a museum item.
Each pouch complete with an original wooden core plug for producing a cylindrical paper cartridge.
Note, the Brown Bess Muskets for these pouches were sold by us in 2008/9.
