A Rare Antique English Iron Barrel Flintlock Musketoon Blunderbuss circa 1770.
Very heavy iron barrel with heavily flared muzzle with 4cm bore.
The breech struck with double cross sceptre crowned marks for London Private Proof (sometimes attributed to Ketland).
Silver inlaid spider foresight, plain military style flintlock with separate frizzon and solid brass sideplate engraved with flags; heavy walnut stock with brass furniture and guard with acorn finial (tang cracked).
Excellent to Fine Condition with all browned finish on barrel, edge of forend stock with neat repair.
