British WW1 Lewis Gun Combination Tool
A scarce original hundred year old spring balance by Salter of Bilston produced for the .303 WW1 Lewis Machine Gun. It comprises a brass bodied spring balance graduated from 1 to 20 pounds and was used to set the spring tension on the firing mechanism and trigger. It incorporates a steel pin-punch and a steel screwdriver blade. The body stamped with Broad Arrow and Salter’s registered Trade Mark. It can also be used with the WW1 .303 SMLE rifle. Excellent Condition. OA 12cm.
