American Inert (FFE) 40mm Inert Mk III WW2 Bofors Shells.
Used in WW2 by the US Navy and designated High Explosive Tracer rounds for use in the twin and quad mounted Bofors Guns introduced in 1942 for anti-aircraft use.
The steel shell cases with light brass flashing, 1944 dated and with conical steel heads. Some rust patches and storage staining. Generally Good Condition. OA 45cm.
